Taxation or Transport vehicles – Not  Covered by Permit

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20 of the Tamilnadu Motor Vehicles Taxtion Act 1974 ( Tamilnadu Act 13 of 1974), the Governor of Tamilnadu hereby directs that the transport vehicle  not covered by any pucca permit which are moved empty from one district to another or from this State to another ^*either on a temporary permit and fitness certificate or when exempts form permit covered by the notification issued under clauses (I) and(1) of subsection (3) of Section 42 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1939 (Central  Act IV of 1939), be taxed  on the basis of unladen weight.
