Life Tax already paid – to be adjusted for Five year permit- Clarification Instructions

In this connection some of the Regional Transport Officers have sought for clarification whether, when a Motor Vehicles for which Life Time Tax was paid, is converted in to a transport vehicle, the tax due to such transport vehicles (Five years permit tax) can be adjusted from the life Time Tax already collected and paid by the registered owners for that vehicles. In this regard, Government has been addressed for necessary clarification and the orders of the Government still awaited
