Advance Number – Opening of series with double alphabets Reg

" I am directed to refer to the correspondence sited and to state that the Government have examined the question of allotting Fancy/Advance numbers under the two alphabet series whenever number under single alphabet are getting exhausted. 

The Government accept your proposal in your letter third and direct that the new series with two alphabets may be opened in all Regional Transport Offices where all numbers under existing single alphabet series are exhausted except the last Two single alphabet series. For example, if all numbers in single alphabet series , up to X series are allotted and only Y and Z are available, now series can be opened only in such office only. Necessary instructions may be given to all the Regional Transport Officers in this regard.
